The growth in the industry might be due to many reasons. It might be because of inefficiency of our competitors, some changes in social environment, changes in the policies of the government, shortage of certain commodities due to improper planning or implementation of plans, etc. The garment industries in USA and Europe are presently facing many problems and are almost on the verge of closing. This also holds good for existing small scale cottage industries as well as big industries.
